To my friends and followers,
The years 2021 and 2022 were an absolute whirlwind—full of exciting musical milestones, personal changes, and unforgettable moments.
One of the highlights was completing and releasing my full-length album, Slow Recovery. It was an emotional and deeply fulfilling experience, and I’m so grateful to everyone who brought it to life. My producer, Pino Squillace, did an incredible job honing the sound, and I can’t thank him enough for pulling together such a talented group of musicians.
We played so many shows that I lost count, including a few small tours across the U.S. The group of songwriters and players I shared those late nights and jam sessions with made it all the more special. I’ll always treasure that time in Nashville and beyond.
Summer 2021 was truly epic! Here’s a quick recap of some standout shows:
7/3 - The Levitt, Sioux Falls, SD
7/7 - Monk's, Sioux Falls, SD
7/10 - Cabana Taps, Nashville
7/16 - Alley Taps, Nashville
8/1 - Phyllis's Musical Inn, Chicago
8/2 - Mad Steintist, Waukesha, WI
Shortly after the Mad Steintist show, life brought a big change: my family and I packed up and moved to Seattle. The local music scene welcomed me with open arms, and I loved sharing songs and stories in venues that hadn’t seen many Nashville performers, especially post-pandemic.
I wasn’t entirely Seattle-bound, though. I made a few trips back to Nashville to reconnect with the Everyday Nashville crew. Together, we wrote some tunes and recorded demos under the project name Melvis—songs that captured the raw, isolated emotions of musicians navigating a global pandemic. It was such a gift to create and share that music, and I’ll link our SoundCloud project here.
In mid-2022, another exciting opportunity came my way: a chance to join a start-up company. It was a big shift, and as my days filled up with new adventures, finding time to perform became harder. Looking back, I’m so grateful for those three years of nonstop music and memories.
That said, I never stopped playing or writing. If anything, the journey has given me some new skills, fresh perspectives, and a batch of songs I can’t wait to share with you all.
Here’s to the music, the memories, and what’s to come. Thanks for being part of the ride—stay tuned for more!
With gratitude,
-Paul
